How this OnlyFans earnings calculator works

Most income numbers you see online are what fans spend. What reaches your bank is smaller, and what you can actually spend is smaller again. This calculator walks through the same steps your money does:

  1. Fans spend: paying subscribers × (subscription price + average extra spend per fan on pay-per-view, tips and customs).
  2. Platform fee: OnlyFans keeps 20% of everything fans pay. Other platforms charge different rates, so change the fee if you’re elsewhere.
  3. Your payout: what’s left, the number on your statement.
  4. Agency or chatter cut: if someone takes a percentage, it matters a lot whether it’s from net (your payout) or gross (what fans spent). Switch between them and watch the difference.
  5. Tax set-aside: the share you move to savings before you touch anything. Many creators use 25 to 30%.

Where most creators’ numbers go wrong

Counting subscribers, not spenders. Extra spend is usually where the money is, but it comes from a minority of fans. Use your real monthly average across all paying fans, not your best buyer.

Forgetting the agency maths. “50%” of gross is not half: after the platform’s 20%, you keep 30% of what fans spent. We break this down clause by clause in the agency contract guide.

Spending the tax money. The payout looks like income. Part of it belongs to the tax office. If you’re in the US, the tax set-aside calculator gives you a more precise percentage.

What to do with your result

  • Test a price change. Raise the subscription price by a few dollars and lower the subscriber count a little. Often the take-home goes up. Here’s how to raise your prices without losing your fans.
  • Find your biggest lever. If extra spend per fan is low, work on your welcome message, PPV and messaging before chasing more traffic.
  • Set your exit number. Multiply your yearly take-home by how many years you want to keep going. That’s the number to plan your savings around.

Natalia’s take

I kept a spreadsheet exactly like this for six years. Not the flattering number fans spent, the boring one I could actually spend. That’s the number that tells you whether this is a business or an expensive hobby.

Quick questions

How much does OnlyFans take from creators?

OnlyFans keeps 20% of what fans pay, so you receive 80%. Payment processing is included in that fee.

How do I calculate my OnlyFans earnings?

Multiply paying subscribers by your price plus their average monthly extra spend, then take off the 20% fee, any agency cut and your tax set-aside. This calculator does it for you.

Is extra spend per fan the same as tips?

It’s the average of everything a paying fan spends beyond the subscription in a month: pay-per-view messages, tips and customs, divided across all paying fans.

Does this calculator save my numbers?

No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing you type is sent anywhere.
