Is that agency deal worth it?

Compare what you keep on your own with what you’d keep with an agency, and see how much they’d need to grow you just to break even.

The question every agency pitch skips

Agencies sell growth: more fans, more sales, more money. The contract decides how much of that growth is yours. This calculator answers the only question that matters: would you actually take home more?

It compares two numbers:

  • On your own: what fans spend now, minus the platform’s fee.
  • With the agency: what fans would spend with the growth they promise, minus the platform’s fee, their commission and any costs they pass on to you.

Then it shows the growth needed just to break even: how much more fans must spend before the deal pays for itself.

Why “gross” or “net” changes everything

The same percentage means very different things depending on what it’s taken from.

  • Net is your payout, after the platform takes its 20%.
  • Gross is everything fans spend, before the platform’s cut.

At 50% of gross, you keep just 30% of what fans spend: the platform takes 20% and the agency takes half of the original total. To earn the same as you do alone, fans would need to spend about 167% more. At 20% of net, the agency needs to grow you by 25% to break even. Try both in the calculator above.

Before you sign anything

  • Ask what the commission is taken from, in writing.
  • List every extra cost: chatter wages, ad spend, tools. Costs “to be agreed later” are a red flag.
  • Ask how you can leave: notice period, exit fees and whether they keep earning after you go.
  • Keep your account, email, logins and payouts in your name.

Natalia’s take

I turned down three agencies, and every time the maths was the reason. Their growth promises sounded great until I worked out what they had to deliver just to get me back to where I already was. Run your numbers through this before the call, not after.

Quick questions

What percentage do OnlyFans agencies take?

Many ask for 30 to 50% or more. What matters just as much is whether it’s taken from gross (fan spending) or net (your payout), and which costs they charge on top.

How much do I keep with a 50% agency?

If the 50% is taken from gross, you keep about 30% of what fans spend, before any extra costs. If it’s 50% of net, you keep about 40%.

Is an agency ever worth it?

It can be, if they genuinely grow your income by more than the break-even figure and the contract lets you leave easily if they don’t. Use the calculator to see that figure for your deal.
